The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety strives to be the model Public Safety Department both in the State of Michigan and nationally. This Department consists of a team of 24 sworn Public Safety Officers including six patrol Command officers, a Detective and myself. Additionally the Department operates a full service dispatch and 911 center staffed by qualified Communications Specialists. This group of highly trained professionals excel in innovative technologies, skills and education to provide unmatched quality of service to the residents, businesses and visitors to the City of Bloomfield Hills.
The Mission of this Department and our team promise to this community is to always uphold a high level of emergency services while remaining professional, courteous, transparent in our operations and skilled in the services we provide. Our team of professionals, through leadership, community partnerships, and reputable integrity will always assure preparedness and experienced readiness to the City of Bloomfield Hills.
As the Director, I assure you this team of Public Safety Professionals is ready to assist you with one of the leading response times in the State. There is nothing our Department will not do to assure the safety and well-being of our community, schools, and households.
