Dear Bloomfield Hills Resident:

Over the next several weeks, you may notice crews working throughout the City cleaning and repainting the fire hydrants.

Superior Excavating was awarded the bid for the project and will begin the work to clean, prep and paint the fire hydrants throughout the City. The Superior Excavating staff will be driving vehicles with the company name displayed and staff will be wearing yellow uniform shirts, also with the company name and logo.

During the cleaning and painting process, the ground area around each fire hydrant will be carefully and appropriately protected from debris and paint.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the non-emergency number for the Department of Public Safety at (248) 644-4200 and you will be assisted by a Communications Officer.
