The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety will take voluntary non-criminal fingerprints for reasons as established by the Michigan State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation. These reasons include but are not limited to background checks for employment and personal records checks.
Fingerprints will be taken by appointment only between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Please call our main number at 248-644-4200 to schedule an appointment. You will be asked to fill out the fingerprint application form prior to having your fingerprints taken. You may download and fill out the form prior to your appointment here.
Due to the sensitive nature of law enforcement operations the following rules must be observed by those wishing to have their fingerprints taken:
Our fingerprint machine is located in our lockup facility. Therefore the status of our lockup facility may require rescheduling of an appointment for fingerprints in some circumstances. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
We request that you arrive on time and bring all appropriate paperwork to the appointment or the appointment may be rescheduled or cancelled.
No weapons are permitted inside of the Public Safety Department and we may ask you to submit to a pat down prior to entering the our lockup facility if deemed necessary.
